BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Menge specializes in orthopedic surgery, sports medicine, and joint preservation. Originally raised on a cattle ranch in northwest Colorado, he graduated with Honors from the University of Colorado School of Medicine and completed his orthopedic surgery training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. As a resident physician, he was active in providing sports team coverage for a number of local high schools, minor league baseball, and the Nashville Predators professional ice hockey teams.

With interests in sports medicine and joint preservation, he was selected to attend the prestigious Steadman Philippon Research Institute in Vail, Colorado where he completed an additional year as a clinical sports medicine fellow. While in Vail, Dr. Menge served as team physician for the United States Ski Team, and has authored more than 35 scientific papers, book chapters, and journal articles. His academic work has been recognized both nationally and internationally, including being named the recipient of the Nicola's Foundation Young Researcher Award by the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery, and Arthroscopy.
